Terms of service

Version 2026-10. Agreement between you and Joe Bishop, trading as Convoy (39a Ernest Road), "we" below.

1. Using Convoy

You need to be 16 or over to create an account. Guests can join events without an account. Use Convoy lawfully, and only add other people's names and details if you're organising a plan with them.

2. Lifts and travel are your arrangement

Convoy is a planning tool. It doesn't provide transport, check drivers, or arrange payment for lifts. Drivers are responsible for holding a valid licence and insurance and for driving safely. Lifts must be informal and between people who know each other. If you take money beyond a fair share of fuel costs, you may need a private hire licence and different insurance. Arrival times are estimates. Never use your phone while driving.

3. Your content

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything unlawful, abusive, or anyone's private information beyond what's needed for the plan. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.

4. Paid plans

  • Paid plans are only available to customers based in the UK. You'll need a UK billing address and a UK-issued card. If a subscription is bought from outside the UK, we'll cancel it and refund it in full.
  • Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the Billing page, and your plan continues to the end of the period you've paid for.
  • As a UK consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of first subscribing for a full refund. Email us. Once that time is up, payments aren't refundable except where the law requires.
  • We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • If you downgrade, events over your new plan's limits stay visible, but you can't create more until you're within them. Shorter history limits apply from then on.

5. Availability

We work hard to keep Convoy running but can't promise it'll be uninterrupted. Don't rely on it as your only way of coordinating with people.

6. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

7. Ending

You can delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

8. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you also keep the protection of your local mandatory laws and can bring claims in your local courts.
